Simplifying the Treatment of Endentulism: A New Type of Implant

In this article, the authors describe the application of a new and unique root-form dental implant in a simplified approach to treating the completely endentulous mandible using an overdenture. The technique is supported by the results of a prospective clinical trial involving 52 patients that showed a three- to four-year success rate of 95 percent.
